Simple and Secure
Simple and Secure is a self-contained mini-site selling just one product, a next-generation, out-of-the-box home security solution. The site needed to be warm, reassuring, and just as simple and easy to use as the product.
On this project I was working with marketeer Sabra at Cerco Communications. Once she had identified the target audience and the main selling points of the product, she and I sat down and worked out the desired feel of the site, the basic menu structure, and rough layout. I then took this away to create an appropriate design. The site needed to be clean and contemporary, but also convey the sense of a warm, safe family home, so I set the tone with some carefully chosen stock photography and a colour scheme of soft neutrals with a cheerful magenta highlight. The front page shows a few of the product's major selling points in a gently fading slideshow; this is powered by javascript, but coded in plain html in order to be visible to screen readers.
My involvement
This project was undertaken during my time at FL1 Solutions. I collaborated with Cerco Communications to identify the desired feel of the site, and then designed and built the site to fit their chosen information architecture and content.
